What exactly does Embedded Engineering Solutions (EES) do?
We're a contract engineering firm that designs and builds embedded systems - basically, electronics with a tiny brain inside (also known as a microcontroller). If it's firmware, hardware, or the magic that ties it all together, we've probably done something similar. Medical gadgets, consumer toys, industrial machines - you dream it, we build it.
Can you help me if I only have a rough idea?
Absolutely! Most of our clients start out with just an idea, a rough sketch, or a prototype barely holding together with duct tape and optimism. The sooner we jump in, the smoother things usually go, saving you time, money, and headaches. We'll help you nail down what you actually need - hardware, firmware, budget, timeline - the whole deal.
Do you design hardware and firmware?
Yep, both - and doing it all under one roof saves a ton of back-and-forth. Need a circuit board that doesn't catch fire? We got you. Firmware that won't crash every five minutes? We're on it. Even a user interface that's not stuck in the '90s? Challenge accepted.
What kinds of projects do you take on?
Pretty much anything from early-stage prototypes to full-blown product launches. Embedded firmware, custom circuits, and all the fun wireless tech like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular. If it's connected, battery-powered, or just needs to "work already", you're definitely in our sweet spot.
Can you fix or rewrite firmware someone else built?
Oh yeah, we're like the firmware cleanup crew. Whether you're dealing with spaghetti code, crashes you can't explain, or migrating to a new platform, we'll jump right in, figure out what's going wrong, and help you get unstuck fast.
Do you work with startups or just big companies?

How do you price your work?
It depends, but don't worry - we don't do the mysterious black-box thing. We'll provide a clear estimate, broken down into milestones where possible, so you always know what you're getting. If you want to start small with a quick audit or proof-of-concept first, that's totally cool too.
Can you help get our product through regulatory testing?
Definitely - especially if you're navigating tricky medical, industrial, or consumer compliance hurdles. We design with regulatory tests in mind right from day one, meaning fewer surprises and smoother sailing through the certification process.
Do you manufacture hardware too?
We don't own a factory, but we have trusted partners who do. We'll handle all the tricky details like fabrication specs, BOMs, test setups, and vendor chats, making sure your boards get built without drama.
Can you work with our internal team or existing vendors?
Absolutely. Whether you want us to run the whole show or just drop in like a SWAT team to handle a specific piece, we're flexible. We play nicely with hardware people, cloud devs, UI designers, and even that one developer who insists on coding exclusively in vi.
Where are you based? Do you work remotely?
We're in sunny Arizona, but our clients are scattered all over the country (and a few overseas). Mostly, we work remotely, but we're always up for a visit if it helps move things along.
